CANCIÓN

 

Te vi en tu día nupcial, cuando un intenso

pudor invadía tu frente, aunque todo fuera

alegría alrededor de ti y que, delante tuyo, no

fuera el mundo sino Amor.

 

En la vivificante luz que brillaba en tus ojos,--haya

sido cual haya sido su esencia,--encontré

todo lo que mi mirada dolorosa pudo hallar

Ese pudor no era, quizá, sino pudor virginal--pudo
