AL RÍO

 

¡Bello río! en tu clara y brillante onda de

cristal, agua vagabunda, eres un emblema del

esplendor de la belleza, un emblema del corazón

que no se esconde ahora, un emblema de

la alegre fantasía de arte en casa de la hija del

viejo Alberto.

 

Pero mientras ella mira en tu corriente,--que

resplandece y tiembla, ¿por qué el más

hermoso de todos ríos recuerda a uno de sus

adoradores? Es porque en su corazón como en

tu onda, su imagen está profundamente grabada;

en su corazón que tiembla bajo el brillo de

sus ojos que buscan el alma!

美丽的河！在你水晶般清净

 

的水中，流淌的水

 

是美之光辉的一种象征

 

那毫无遮掩的心胸——

 

那顽皮的艺术迷宫

 

在老阿尔伯托女儿心内；

 

但当她凝视你的碧波——

 

当碧波粼粼，涟漪阵阵——

 

那为什么，最美丽的河

 

像是崇拜她的那人

 

因为在他心里，如在你水上

 

深深印着她的倩影——

 

他的心对着她穿透灵魂的目光

 

也会泛起涟漪阵阵。

Fair river! in thy bright clear flow

 

Of crystal, wandering water,

 

Thou art an emblem of the glow

 

Of beauty—the unhidden heart—

 

The playful maziness of art

 

In old Alberto's daughter;

 

But when within thy wave she looks—

 

Which glistens, then, and trembles—

 

Why, then, the prettiest of brooks

 

Her worshipper resembles;

 

For in his heart, as in thy stream,

 

Her image deeply lies—

 

His heart which trembles at the beam
